The Farmers Market #Richmond

At the corner of Ridgefield Parkway and Gayton Road sits a corner that is over run with fresh produce, grass fed beef from Greenway Beef,  and homemade pasta by Bombolini. If you end up going and trying anything. Try the Greenway Beef and Bombolini's pasta. You will forget why you buy food at the grocery store.

Robert E. Lee - Monument Avenue

5 Years ago I took this same picture. I felt like it needed a Revival. This is the Robert E. Lee monument on monument avenue in the heart of the Fan in Richmond, Virginia.

Pink Storm

I found this to be some what eery and beautiful at the same time. Watching this storm roll in over the city was quite an experience to behold. Unfortunately nothing could be done about the distortion.

Moon Rays on Manchester

Last night I believe it was a full moon. I went out with the Richmond Photography Meetup Group to do some night shooting. We went on the Manchester Bridge and came across this beautiful Moon ray. This was one of the most spectacular sights I have seen in a long long time.

Birthday Girl - Picture within a Picture

Today was my wife's 30th birthday. We had a wonderful time having a home cooked meal prepared by my mom. The original picture on the point and shoot camera was taken by my wife's friend Stacy. She was showing me the picture while I took this picture. She looks pretty excited to blow out her candles!

Passages Adventure Camp - Richmond Virginia

I finally received my lens (AF-S 80-200) that I had sent to Nikon to fix. They did a stellar job as usual. While I was out I came across the Passages Adventure Camp crowd kayaking in the James River. The instructors were teaching the kids how to play in the rapids. It was nice to be able to see Nikon's work in action the day I received it. Thanks again Nikon

Bear Creek at The Highland Haven #Colorado

The Highland Haven is a nice little lodge in Evergreen Colorado. This is where we are staying for our last night. It's a very soothing place to be for our last night right beside bear creek. If you come to Colorado be sure to stay here one night.

Independence Pass - 12,095 ft

The pass is at the summit of the ridge of the Sawatch Range between Aspen and Leadville, on the border between Pitkin and Lake counties and is located within the confines of the White River National Forest. The pass connects the upper valley of the Roaring Fork River upstream from Aspen with the headwaters of the Arkansas River near Leadville. The pass is traversed by State Highway 82 and is the second-highest paved mountain pass in Colorado. The top of the pass is well above the tree line and the terrain type at the top is tundra. Its narrow road provides for slow cautious navigation on its approaches. The approach on either side is a steady but steep 6.5%. Several switchbacks on each side of the pass make careful planning a must. Truckers and other large vehicles are not allowed to use the road, though large RVs can make it with careful planning. The pass is always closed in winter, from the first heavy snow fall in autumn, often opening only in late May.

The Road to 14,258ft

This is the road to the Top of Mt. Evan, Colorado. This is about an hour away from Idaho Springs. It's a very pretty drive although once you get above the treeline the road narrows and it starts feeling a little iffy. The clouds cleared up just for a second until it was covered in shadow again. The vastness of this mountain amazed me. The cars are so tiny.
